Despite the recent brand heat it has developed, the Big Cat said it was focused on keeping its distribution clean, it sales footwear-driven and a good balance between sport and lifestyle as it reported a modest seasonal loss of €4.6 million ($4.9 mm) for the final quarter ended Dec. 31 against a loss of €4.3 million last year on a 9% sales improvement to €958.2 million ($1,023.1 mm) compared to €878.9 million.
Net income rose 34% to $84,715,000 from $63,350,000 for the final quarter ended Dec. 31 on a 3% improvement in sales to $717,450,000 from $699,414,000, led by growth in Europe of 20% to $70.1 million from $58.2 million but also including a 2% increase in the challenging U.S. market to $455.4 million from $446.2 million.
Net income fell 77% to $6,664,000 from $29,448,000 in the final quarter as G&A spending surged to support international and DTC expansion, on sales that grew 6% to $764,290,000 from $722,683,000.
The previously announced pre-tax impairment charge of $449.2 million resulted in a net loss of $377,659,000 against income of $43,159,000 for the third quarter ended Jan. 1 as sales increased 10% to $653,558,000 compared to 592,557,000 with sales of acquisitions more than offsetting a 5% decline in organic sales.
Net income fell 10% to €47.9 million ($51.7 million) from €53.3 million in the final quarter on sales that inched down 1% to €772.4 million ($833.2 million) from €783.7 million.
Net loss was ¥584 million ($5.3 million) vs. a profit of ¥806 million in the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, on a 7% decline in revenues to ¥43,259 million ($395.4 million) from ¥46,712 million.
Net loss expanded to ¥513 million ($4.7 million) from ¥29 million in fiscal Q3 ended Dec. 31 on a 7% sales decline to ¥16,721 million ($152.8 million) from ¥18,003 million.
Yeti is claiming that insulated bottles and beverage holders made by Ontel Products and sold by World Pack USA infringe on design patents for its Rambler products.
GFE claims that Precor incorporated its patented Treadmill Saver technology, which monitors the condition of treadmill motors to identify maintenance needs, into its treadmills without permission.
