VF Corp. Seeks to Shed Commercial Workwear Brands


A year after spinning off its jeanswear business as Kontoor Brands, VF now plans to review nine of its workwear brands that sell to businesses for possible divestiture. The occupational brands include holdovers from VF Imagewear—Red Kap, VF Solutions, Bulwark, and Horace Small—as well as the Workrite, Walls, Terra, Kodiak, and Work Authority brands acquired with Williamson-Dickie. Together, the nine brands represented about $865 million of VFC’s fiscal 2019 revenue, or about half of its Work segment, and contributed $130 million in adjusted operating income.
