Under Armour Sales Dip But Margins Improve

Net income improved 36% to $102,315,000 from $75,266,000 for the third quarter ended Sep. 30 as total sales fell 1% to $1,429,456,000 from $1,442,976,000, primarily because of lower sales to the off-price channel in North America. But challenges in the key North American market clearly still remain and Under Dog stock fell back near its 52-week low on the disclosure that it was the subject of a criminal investigation by the Justice Department and a civil investigation by the SEC over its revenue recognition.
