Nike Sued for Sex Discrimination


Former employees Kelly Cahill and Sara Johnston called Nike “a company where women are devalued and demeaned,” in a sex discrimination class action filed in Oregon District Court in Portland. Their complaint paints the company as a workplace where women face obstacles at every level, from lower starting pay, to blunted career trajectories, to lower salaries, smaller bonuses, and fewer stock options. Complaints to human resources about discrimination and harassment are routinely ignored or mishandled, they allege.
