NICS Checks Improve Mere Single Digits in Feb.


The seemingly endless string of mid- to high-double-digit gains in NSSF-adjusted NICS FBI background checks came to a halt last month, with a 7% improvement to just 1,387,076 checks against 1,294,123 last year, the smallest total in 12 months. It’s a surprising result, given that threats of new gun control legislation are stronger than they have been in years.
