Cherokee Brands Reduces Loss in Q1


Net loss at the Hi-Tec brand owner narrowed 18% to $2,258,000 in the first quarter ended May 4 from a loss of $2,741,000 last year on 6% lower licensing revenues of $5,052,000 from $5,402,000. Organic revenue excluding the divested Flip Flop Shops and non-renewal of licenses was up 9%, but the Hi-Tec brand portfolio, including Hi-Tec, Magnum, Interceptor, and 50 Peaks was down slightly to $2.5 million from $2.6 million in the prior year.
