Arizona Town Confirms Commitment to Nike on Factory
The Goodyear, AZ, city council approved a $2 million package as part of its assistance to the Eager Beavertons for building its new air sole factory there, despite the state pulling its financial aid package after the E.B.s’ pulled a Betsy Ross flag shoe prior to the Fourth of July. That decision was prompted by criticism from Colin Kaepernick, who was the face of a Nike ad earlier this year. Nike still has not confirmed that it will build the plant in Goodyear.
