Zion Asked to Testify on Nike, Adidas Inducements
In a lawsuit filed by his former agent, the former Duke star was asked to testify whether he or his mother or stepfather accepted anything of value from either of the sneaker giants or from persons representing Duke. Any of these admissions would seem to be a violation of NCAA regulations, which prompted a criminal investigation by the FBI resulting on convictions of some former Adidas employees on the grounds that the schools had been defrauded of scholarships.
