Yeti Using Tariff Inventory to Fill Coronavirus Gap
Yeti still makes its drinkware in China, but its preparations to mitigate the List 4B tariffs helped fill in the supply shortages that followed coronavirus-related factory shutdowns. The cooler and drinkware maker told attendees at the Raymond James investors’ conference that it had already pre-positioned Spring 2020 inventory in anticipation of the List 4B tariffs that were never imposed, and that cache of product has now covered for the extended factory shutdowns after Chinese New Year.
