World Athletics Expected To Tighten Rules for Vaporfly


The governing body of track & field is expected to impose some restrictions on the use of the Eager Beavertons’ revolutionary sneaker by elite athletes while continuing to allow its use by recreational athletes. In effect, it will only certify records that do not use the Vaporfly technology, though it may also clarify what it will accept as a permissible depth of foam or the use of carbon plates in competition.
