Wolverine Settles PFAS Class Action
A U.S. district court approved WWW’s and 3M’s settlement with MI property owners to resolve a class action suit over PFAS chemicals used in a since-closed tannery that contaminated drinking water there. The deal calls for Wolverine and 3M to pay $54 million to be divided among roughly 1,700 affected properties in northern Kent County, if the settlement is approved by a judge.
