Walmart Employees, Customers Ask CEO to Ban Gun Sales
A week after CEO Doug McMillon said he was encouraged by public support for “common sense” gun laws that would strengthen background checks and implement red flag laws, he received a petition signed by 129,160 employees and customers asking him to stop all sales of guns and ammo in the stores, ban carrying firearms in the stores and end all donations to politicians that back the NRA. “Customers no longer feel safe in our stores,” wrote Thomas Marshall, the employee who led the petition drive, to McMillon. “We must do more.
