Vista Outdoor Talks Golf and Ammo Strategy
VSTO expanded on its rationale for acquiring golf simulator company, Foresight Sports, at the C.L. King virtual investor conference, as helping it to diversify away from cyclical categories like ammunition. It was aware of Foresight through a previous partnership with Bushnell Golf to develop the Launch Pro consumer grade launch monitor, and was able to acquire the company at a reasonable 9x multiple. Bushnell has been very successful with its line of golf rangefinders, and VSTO sees branding and marketing synergies between the two brands.
