Vista Outdoor Has Loss Against Profit in Q2


Swallowing a $44.9 million impairment charge on the sale of its eyewear businesses, Vista Outdoor had a loss of $52,348,000 against income of $16,652,000 for the first quarter ended Jul. 1 as sales declined 7% to $528,836,000 from $568,749,000. VSTO said that despite a challenging market in firearms and a mixed result in outdoor, it was on track with its transformation plan and that it exceeded expectations in Q1.
