Vicious Puma Continues to Attack Competitors


The Big Cat showed broad-based strength regionally and by product as it reported net income of €100.5 million ($111.8 mm) against €77.5 million on an 18% jump in sales to €1,477.6 million ($1,643.7 mm) compared to €1,241.7 million for the third quarter ended Sep. 30. Both sales and earnings were all-time records. Despite the prospect of a €5 million hit in Q4 because of new U.S. tariffs on Chinese-made goods, Puma lifted guidance for the year to a 15% increase in sales from 13% prior and for EBIT to range from €420-430 million, up from prior guidance of €420-430 million. ...
