The deal will come as a surprise to nobody. Ever since Under Armour and Fanatics announced that they would be taking over the on-field rights for Major League Baseball in 2020, it was pretty obvious that the Northeast PA factory that has been making MLB uniforms for decades would somehow have to be part of the plan going forward for Under Armour and Fanatics. The only question was which one would buy it and Fanatics, with its rapidly growing e-commerce business, was the more logical choice.
