Vendor Executive Compensation Jumped 17% in 2018


Lavish stock awards to Skechers senior execs sent total compensation of the top 118 executives at public sporting goods companies soaring to $376,244,579 in 2018, with comparable pay for those in their position at least a year up 17%, lapping a 1% decline in 2017. Mean compensation was $3,188,513 last year, up from $2,918,704 in 2017. Excluding SKX, senior execs for the rest of the industry saw flat comparable compensation year-over-year to an average of $2,716,555.
