Vail Resorts Improves in Q2, but Coronavirus Effects Have Begun


Retail/rental revenue increased 4% to $133,713,000 from $128,436,000 in MTN’s fiscal second quarter ended Jan. 31, including about $12.6 million of incremental revenues from Peak Resorts, but with lower sales at its San Francisco Bay Area stores. Retail cost of sales declined 4% to $41,985,000 from $43,721,000. Total net income for Vail Resorts was flat at $206,370,000 vs. $206,349,000 on revenues of $924,638,000, up 9% from $849,578,000 last year.
