Vail Resorts Adds 17 Ski Areas with Peak Resorts Acquisition
MTN will pay $11.00 per share for SKIS’ portfolio of regional resorts in the Northeast and Midwest, in a deal that values Peak Resorts at about $264 million. The acquisition will be financed with cash on hand, Vail’s revolver, and an expansion of its existing credit facility. Adding Peak Resorts is expected to contribute about $60 million in incremental EBITDA in FY21 which ends July 31, 2021, but in the near term, MTN plans to spend $15 million in additional CapEx in FY20-21 to integrate the acquisition into its resort network and add guest experience enhancements.
