Under Armour Returns to Profit in Q1


Net income was $77,752,000 in the first quarter, against a loss of $589,681,000 last year, as revenues climbed 35% to $1,257,195,000 from $930,240,000 including a 69% jump in DTC e-commerce sales. A significant portion of the 35% increase in wholesale to $800 million resulted from orders pushed into Q1 ’21 from Q4 ’20 due to Covid and supply chain timing issues, however. Total direct-to-consumer revenue increased 54% to $437 million, more than offsetting a $35 million gap left by the MyFitnessPal divestiture.
