President Trump said he would decide on whether to impose tariffs on the remaining $300 billion of exports not already being hit with a 25% tariff after the G-20 meeting in Japan on June 28-29, and while Mexican officials remain hopeful of reaching a deal with the U.S. to prevent escalating tariffs taking effect on Monday, U.S. officials are saying that negotiations have stalled over whether Mexico will prevent Central American asylum seekers to continue to the U.S.
