Trade Groups Ask Administration to Back Off Trade War
Top trade groups in the industry reacted quickly and vehemently to oppose the latest threats of the Trump Administration to expand tariffs of 10% to an additional $200 million in goods, now threatening almost everything that’s imported into the U.S. economy with some form of tax. SFIA, OIA and FDRA said the measures would hurt consumers and their industry and suggested there were more effective ways to deal with China’s trade practices, including the intellectual property rights issues that are at the heart of the dispute.
