Toys R Us Files for Bankruptcy
The latest retailer from a leveraged buyout transaction by private equity groups to file for bankruptcy protection listed assets and liabilities in the $1-10 billion range and estimated that there would be funds available for unsecured creditors. Although the main unsecured creditors are Bank of New York ($208.3 million), Mattel ($135.6 million), Hasbro ($59.1 million) and Graco ($59.1 million), a number of cycling companies were also listed among the top 50 unsecured creditors.
