Gassnola testified that he didn’t believe KU coach Bill Self and assistant coach Kurtis Townsend knew he was using cash to entice recruits to the Jayhawks program, but a number of texts among the three suggest that they were very aware of Gassnola’s efforts to influence the college choice of Silvio De Sousa.
