Survey: Footwear Shoppers Plan to Spend Less
Pent-up demand may be falling from its pandemic peak but spring footwear heat is still on for a majority of consumers according to the Spring 2022 Footwear Buying Trends survey from the FDRA and FFANY. The national poll, conducted April 9-10, also tackled shoppers’ takes on inflation pressures. It found that 56% of US shoe shoppers are very likely and 18% somewhat likely to purchase shoes this spring for themselves or family members. “Not likely” answers came in at 27%, ticking up 5 percentage points from 2021.
