Sturm, Ruger Activists See Proxy Advisors Split on Ousting Directors


Proxy adviser Institutional Shareholder Services recommended RGR shareholders vote to withhold support from chairman Michael Jacobi and two other board members, but Glass Lewis recommended retaining all nine board members. Activist shareholder group Majority Action, along with the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, called on the company’s shareholders to withhold their vote for the chairman and for director Sandra Froman, who is also a director of the National Rifle Association and sits on its Council for National Policy.
