Stella Swings to Loss in H1, as Sales Drop by a Third


Footwear maker Stella International, which reports in US$, saw a first half 2020 comprehensive net loss of $9,290,000 against last year’s $39,218,000 income, on 32% lower revenue of $511,474,000 from $750,577,000. Gross margin contracted 140 b.p. to 16.6%, in part because of overhead costs from temporary factory shutdowns in Mainland China, Philippines and Bangladesh, and delayed or canceled orders.
