Sports Leagues Reveal Plans to Ramp Up as Pandemic Abates


Professional leagues and amateur associations continue to make moves towards resuming play with a series of late May announcements detailing strategies and obstacles to getting athletes back on the field. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman unveiled a plan on Tuesday that “anticipates” a summer return for the league. Training camps will begin July 1 at the earliest with a modified postseason to begin within a month from there, according to Yahoo Sports.
