Some Sporting Goods Hit on Second Trump Tariff List
The second round of 10% tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports proposed by the Administration includes baseball/softball gloves, hockey and ski gloves as well as sports bags. Not included on the list were major sporting goods categories imported form China such as athletic footwear and apparel and most other sports equipment. After President Trump initially proposed 25% tariffs on $50 billion in Chinese imports as a punishment for its intellectual property practices, China retaliated with 25% tariffs on $50 billion in American imports.
