Skechers Looks to Build E-Commerce Capacity


While it is certainly less aggressive on the DTC digital business than other major sneaker brands, SKX told UBS clients that it is in the process of building a new e-commerce platform for the U.S. market for a launch this year that can be replicated overseas. It sees this capability as a compelling need in today’s market although it also remains firmly committed to wholesale overall because of the insights on customers and product development that a digital relationship yields. The rapid shift to digital in the fast-growing China market is also a compelling reason.
