Sales Rise at European Outdoor Brands Mammut and Lafuma


Conzzeta Group’s Outdoor division, which mainly consists of Mammut, grew sales 11% in 2018 to CHF 253.4 million ($254.6 mm) with double-digit gains in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Successful implementation of its “Mammut Connect” digital transformation initiative in line with a five-year plan launched in 2016 drove sales along with new product introductions. Better gross margins helped offset higher costs related to product design, digitalization and retail, and contributed to an increase in EBIT margin of 200 basis points to 2.1% from barely above breakeven in the previous year.
