Contradicting earlier reports that World Athletics would probably ban the super fast running shoes from competition, The Guardian reported that a blanket prohibition on wearing the shoes was unlikely. The sport’s governing body is instead expected to temporarily suspend any new shoe technology until after the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, but all shoes currently on the market can continue to be used, according to sources.
