Report: Fitness Equipment Sales Will Normalize This Year
At-home fitness equipment sales continued to win big over pre-pandemic levels through 2021 while commercial sales rebounded from the worst of lockdown impacts, according to the 2022 edition of SFIA’s Tracking the Fitness Movement Report. For all of 2021, home use fitness equipment shipments were up 15% to $6.42 billion over 2020 while Commercial increased 12% to $1.46 billion (against 2020’s loss of 17%), posting a combined 14% gain to $7.89 billion.
