Remington Asks for Bankruptcy Auction, Forestalling Liability Claims
Remington has asked an AL bankruptcy court to auction off its assets in early Sep., a move that plaintiffs’ attorneys fear would shield the company from two major liability cases if approved. The proposed auction does not address either the case against Remington for selling the Bushmaster MSR used in the Sandy Hook massacre nor for another long-standing case against Remington alleging a faulty trigger design on its Model 700 bolt action rifle.
