A number of sporting goods and outdoor industry manufacturers and retailers are addressing the need for PPE in the coming general election with donations and other initiatives. L.L. Bean and Flowfold have both donated supplies to the Maine Secretary of State office totaling over $44,000 for distribution throughout all municipalities in the state. L.L. Bean donated 8,000 face coverings, while Flowfold donated 8,000 face shields. Both companies had previously contributed PPE to the healthcare industry nationwide, including Flowfold’s production of 500,000 faceshields for the Maine CDC.
