REI Criticized over Employee Coronavirus Cases
The outdoor co-op is facing criticism on social media from staff in several of its stores over its policies and dissemination of information after workers were found to be Covid-19 positive, the New York Times reported. Employees at stores in Michigan, Arizona and Texas said that their managers did not inform them when co-workers tested positive. The initial incident involved a worker at REI’s Grand Rapids store, who was sent home after a positive test.
