Rebel Sport Thrives Despite Aussie Lockdowns


Rebel Sports sales gained 15% to A$1,197 million ($920.7 mm) for the full-year period ended June 26, including a +17.5% store comp and a 36% increase in online sales A$193 million, making up 16% of the total. All categories contributed to positive comps, led by performance sports. Football, basketball, licensed apparel and kids’ apparel posted the fastest growth. Fitness equipment and accessories also got a boost from Covid-19 lockdowns. Higher ATV was driven by increased items per transaction and higher average item value.
