Rebel Sport Powers Higher in Pandemic
Sales at Super Retail Group’s sporting goods banner gained 15% to A$623.7 million ($455.3 mm) in the fiscal first half ended Dec. 26, from A$542.8 million, including a 17.1% same store sales improvement and e-commerce sales that more than doubled to A$119.9 million. Fitness and sporting goods segments delivered the strongest growth, while apparel and footwear sales accelerated though the period as Covid restrictions in Australia eased.
