Rebel Sales Slow Down Under


Rebel Sport's sales fell 3% to A$605.6 million ($441.1 mm) for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 25, as the Christmas selling season was impacted by lower mall and central business district traffic and delayed shipments from key global brands for the Australian sporting goods chain. Sales were up 12% over ’FY 20, however. Excluding Boxing Day (which occurred in prior year H1 but shifted to H2 for FY ‘22), store comps decline 5.4% over the prior year but were up 10.9% on a two-year basis.
