Phase One Trade Deal Could Roll Back List 4A Tariffs
U.S. and Chinese representatives working towards a Phase One agreement may be considering broadening the scope of the deal to include eliminating previously imposed rounds of tariffs, according to several news outlets citing sources close to the negotiations. Conventional wisdom up to this point has been that the U.S. would likely agree not to impose List 4B tariffs planned for Dec. 15 in exchange for additional agricultural purchases and other concessions by China.
