Pentland Top Line Soars 39% in 2018
Driven by the stellar performance of JD Sports Fashion, Pentland Group recorded an overall increase in revenues of 39% to £5.1 billion ($6.4 bb) for its financial year ended Dec. 31. Group operating earnings before amortization of intangibles and exceptional items rose by 9% percent to £411 million ($512 mm) for the year. As reported earlier, JD’s EBITDA before exceptional items reached a record level of £488 ($609 mm) in its latest financial year, which included the important month of January, on 49% higher revenues of £4.72 billion ($5.88 bb)
