Peloton Slashes Hardware Prices, Will Raise Subscription Rate
A day after activist investor Blackwells Capital released its presentation calling for a sale and makeover of operations, Peloton announced it is lowering hardware retail pricing immediately and hiking digital subscription fees on June 1. Effective 6 p.m. Thursday, the company will drop the Bike 17% to $1,445 from $1,745; the Bike+ 20% to $1,995 from $2,495; and the Tread machine 5% to $2,695 from $2,845.
