Peloton Settles with Flywheel Sports


PTON has settled its 2018 lawsuit against rival exercise company Flywheel Sports, who it had accused of copying its patented business model of combining in-home hardware with connected training programs. Flywheel, which had challenged the validity of the patents in question, admitted as part of the settlement that they were valid and enforceable, and that its Fly Anywhere bike and applications like its “leaderboard” functionality infringe on them. Flywheel said it will stop infringing on Peloton’s patented technology within 60 days of the settlement. Financial terms were not disclosed.
