Peloton Faces Class Action after CPSC Warning


On the heels of last weekend’s warning issued by the CPSC, Tread+ owner Shannon Albright has filed a proposed class action suit against Peloton in Sacramento, CA, federal court, claiming the treadmill has significant design flaws. The design of the Tread+ makes children and pets susceptible to getting trapped underneath, the suit alleges. Referencing the child who died and other who were injured, the suit avers the Tread+ is “defective, unfit for use in a home with children, and unreasonably dangerous for its intended purpose.” Albright purchased her Tread+ last fall.
