Outdoor Retailer Heads Back to Salt Lake City
In a move sure to generate controversy among both exhibitors and attendees, the Emerald Expositions-owned trade show announced it would return to the Salt Palace after five years in Denver. The move back to SLC was rumored last month, and resulted in objections from two dozen outdoor companies—large and small—that signed on to a letter from the Conservation Alliance vowing not to exhibit if the show was moved. In a nutshell, the opposition is due to Utah’s Governor and state elected officials being in favor of rolling back protections for public lands.
