NRF Speaks Out on Racial Injustice, Looting
The National Retail Federation expressed outrage and sympathy following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, but condemned the looting and plundering of businesses in the aftermath of protests. In a statement, the NRF called on everyone to share the responsibility to address racial injustice and heal the divide in this country. But damaging and stealing property, whether it comes from legitimate protests or as “an opportunistic act of vandalism and theft,” impedes any progress that could be made.
