After the market closed today, Nike announced that the coronavirus outbreak will have a material impact on its operations in Greater China, its most profitable international geography. It expects to close about half its Nike-owned stores in the region, and reduce hours in others, with its local retailers closing a similar proportion. Traffic at remaining stores will of course be lower than planned.
