Nike Settles Racial Discrimination Suit
On the eve of a jury trial for a racial discrimination suit, the Eager Beavertons reached a settlement agreement with Terry Hill, an African American who claimed that he was passed over for promotions because of his race and that a monkey and penny had been left on his desk. Nike has denied his claims that race played a role in promotions and that it was indifferent to the gestures Hill considered offensive.
