Nike Buys Russell Wilson’s TraceMe Startup


The Eager Beavertons have acquired the Seattle-based company that makes a sports prediction app called Tally, and intends to integrate its content into existing Nike-owned digital platforms. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. TraceMe, which began as a celebrity-focused social media app before pivoting to sports content, was founded by the Seahawks quarterback and backed by Madrona Venture Group with other investors including Jeff Bezos, Joe Tsai, and YouTube founder Chad Hurley. The company’s existing team will join Nike’s Seattle office.
