New Coronavirus Cases Cast Doubt on Quick Resolution
After reports last week that new cases of COVID-19 were slowing and operations were resuming at key suppliers and retailers in the PRC, fresh cases in Italy and South Korea reported over the weekend ignited fears that the coronavirus is now spreading globally. The World Health Organization, which maintains that the spread of the virus is still not considered a pandemic, still called the new outbreaks deeply concerning. The WHO pointed out that the measures taken in China had been successful in containing the virus there, and that the overall death rate was still very low.
